What Is SSL Proxy (Secure Sockets Layer) & When and Why You Should Use It

SSL Proxy also known as (Secure Sockets Layer) is a combination of IP and Port that when you set up on your pc or phone, it redirects you to another country.

Why you should use an SSL PROXY?

from its name, SSL proxies are very secure to your data online and they can prevent attackers from stealing your data since the Secure Sockets Layer changes your location, the attacker will be attacking a fake location in another country.

When do you have to use an SSL PROXY?

You will have to use a secure sockets layer when you want to surf a website that is blocked in your country. Since an SSL Proxy performs as a location changer, if you choose the right Secure Sockets Layer you will be able to browse those blocked websites easily with no limitations whatsoever.

Are there any alternatives to SSL Proxies

Despite that Secure Sockets Layer proxies are my favorites when it comes to secure browsing or accessing blocked websites, Yes. There are many other alternatives to SSL Proxies and I will mention all of them.

1- The best alternative to SSL Proxies is the VPS (Virtual Private PC) and RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). the main problem with them is they don’t come cheap. and you will not find any good VPS or RDP for free.

2- another good alternative for SSL Proxies is a VPN (Virtual Private Network) the VPN is very popular and there are many websites that provide VPNs for free. My favorite VPN provider is ExpressVPN and there are many more you can find online.

3- Last but not least, normal proxies.
Normal proxies are similar to SSL Proxies the problem with them is they don’t work on secured websites and when I say secured websites I mean the websites that start with (HTTPS). if you tried to access a website that starts with (HTTPS) using a normal proxy it will now work. normal proxies only work with websites that start with (HTTP).
